So, you and your team have a great idea for a new mobile app but you’re not sure what comes next?

You need help researching whether or not it’s a good idea? If it will work, how to develop the requirements for it, design it, develop the marketing plan for it, submit the app to the appropriate stores, create your store listing and finalize the launch of the app?

Developing a mobile app has a LOT of moving parts and we’ve designed a “Turn-Key” system that handles absolutely every single moving part for you.

Here is a brief look at our system and how we take you through it:

Building a Mobile App

Step 1: Reviewing & Researching the Idea

We’ll get out a writing pad and a pen and start figuring out what your mobile app idea does? We’ll review the questions below with you and we’ll help you figure things out.

  • What exactly do you want your app to do?
  • How are you going to make it appeal to users?
  • What problem is it going to solve?
  • How will it simplify life for people?
  • How will you market your app?

Once we figure out exactly what you want out of your application, we’ll go out and search the app stores as well as online to see if it’s already out there and if you’ve got a lot of competition in that space.

Step 2: Gather Requirements List & Design.

Once we’ve done our research and have determined that there is room in the market for your application and the feasibility is there, we start developing a list of requirements and functionalities that you’ll want to include in your mobile app.

We’ll define the technology that is best suited for your requirement list and start developing a tech list for the application.

At this time in the development, we’ll begin sketching the design and defining the color scheme. We’ll supply you with a mock-up of what your app will look like so that we can make the necessary adjustments.

Step 3: The Build

Now that you’ve approved the requirements, the functionalities, and the design, it’s time to start developing the app.

At this time, the following tasks get done:

  • We create a Google Play Developer Account
  • We create an Apple Developer Account
  • We create the mapping and necessary API’s needed for the functionalities of your mobile app

Step 4: The Marketing Strategy

In order for your mobile app to be successful, it’s not enough to just upload it to the app stores…you need a marketing strategy. You need to know how you will plan to monetize the app.

At this time, the following tasks get done:

  • We discuss and define the monetization approach
  • We develop the marketing plan and social media strategy
  • We create the “store listing” within your individual store accounts for the mobile app (the icons, the optimized description copy, the screenshots of the app, etc…)

Step 5: The Final Stretch

At this point, we are entering the final stages of the mobile app development. We go through a series of testing stages where we give you a copy of the app files so that you can download the app to your phone and test it out to ensure it looks and feels the way you want it to.

At this time, the following tasks get done:

  • Initial mass testing of every functionality
  • Review of design and approval
  • Final testing stages on Android/IOS platforms and client approvals
  • Submission to individual stores for review

* Please note that KFC cannot guarantee the approval of your application on neither Google Play nor Apple app stores during the review process. These stores have evolving guidelines that are constantly changing. We will assist you through the “review” process and help in every way we can but just cannot guarantee the actual approval of the mobile app.

The above is a simplified overview of a most complex process that we help you navigate. We promote a “turn-key” approach to mobile app development and try and make the entire journey a most pleasant and exciting time for you and your business.
